Lite smått och gott

Fick ta lite bilder med min iphone idag för att ladda upp här. Kortläsaren i datorn fungerar inte och jag har inte med sladdar för att föra över bilderna till datorn. Måste bli nästa inköp!

Följande bild är tagen ett stenkast från där jag bor. Fantastisk utsikt. Kan se ut attt vara lite halvdåligt väder, men det är vatten som blåser upp från havet. Parque El Faro tror jag att parken heter där bilden är tagen.



Idag hade jag en egen Lima-tur som blev till San Isidro vilket är ett annat distrikt i Lima. Närmare bestämt blev det en tur till Bosque El Olivar. En park med nästan bara olivträd. Tog mig en timma att gå hit och då inräknat att jag gick åt fel håll en bra bit!

"The San Isidro's most valuable is in the park the Olive grove, vegetable jewel that is outlined between the parks of the hemisphere, constitutes not only an alive recollection of the of Lima history, but a great lung for the city. The Olive grove, that out of the property in the country Of the Count of San Isidro, to 6 km from the Principal Plaza of Lima and on an extension of 23 Hectares, it constitutes the center and element typical of the district. In 1560 don Antonio de Rivera, mayor, brought to Peru numerous olive trees but only there came alive three, which stood firm. The spread of the olive tree was admirable and in 1730 there could be verified the existence of 2,000 trees and in 1828 it was overcoming 2,828 trees. The census of 2000 considers 1519 Olive trees."



Så det är alltså spanjorerna vi tackar för dessa olivträd.

Imorgon är sista dagen i Lima och på torsdag flyger jag tidigt till Cuzco för att träffa volontär-gänget. Ser fram emot detta väldigt mycket!
